To take off the front license plate from the F-250, first, identify the two clips securing the bracket beneath the bumper. Press down on these clips to detach the bracket from under the truck. Tilt the assembly outward and then upward from the bottom while facing the bumper. Release the two top tabs connected to the bumper, and lift the assembly out. The frame is already equipped with two upper bolt holes, typically enough to hold a front-facing license plate. You'll need 1/4" screws with a 14 X 3/4" thread size for the assembly. If there's no license plate installed, the bracket can be removed without unscrewing these screws. In 31 states, both a front and rear plate are required.
You'll have to loosen the bracket by unscrewing it, and then it should come off easily without any significant problems.
