In the Ford Ranger, you can adjust the headrests manually to fit your preferences. To raise them for more height, simply pull the assembly up so that the two metal poles holding the headrest move upwards. To lower the unit back down, press the small plastic button at the tip of the metal pole on the driver's side. Keep pressing until the headrest reaches the desired height or is level with the seatback. To completely remove the headrest, find a small button on the passenger side of the seat and use the end of a flathead screwdriver to push and detach it. The button will stay pressed in as you slide out the headrest until it is fully taken out.
To detach the headrest from a Ford Ranger, start by lowering the seat completely. Then, lift the headrest to expose two buttons at the bottom. Simultaneously press and hold both buttons while pulling the headrest upward.
To take off the headrest from a Ford Ranger, you'll want to use a small tool or paperclip to push a button located in a hole at the bottom of the headrest.
Thanks a lot, Jared.
