To turn off the alarm on your Toyota RAV4, start by using the key to unlock the driver's side door manually. This will temporarily disable the alarm and allow you to enter the SUV. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it one notch forward to activate the battery without starting the car. Locate the alarm box beneath the dashboard - some models have an override button, while others have a toggle switch on the box. Hold down the override button until you hear the alarm chirp once, indicating that the alarm has been turned off. If there is a toggle switch, flip it to the opposite position. Next, find the fuse box under the driver's side dashboard and remove the panel. Check the underside of the panel to identify the fuse corresponding to the alarm, then take out this fuse to completely disconnect the alarm system.
