To clear the oil maintenance reminder on a 2013 Ford Focus, start by parking on a level surface and ensuring all doors and windows are closed. Shift the Focus into park, insert the key into the ignition, and turn it to the "on" position without starting the engine. Press both the brake and gas pedals simultaneously and hold for 3 seconds until the display shows "Oil Reset in Progress." After 25 seconds, the display will switch to "Oil Reset Complete." Release the pedals, turn the ignition to the "off" position, then start the engine and let it run for 15-20 minutes. The maintenance reminder light on the Focus should now be off.
To turn off the oil change reminder on a 2013 Ford Focus, insert the key without turning it fully. Then, press the gas and brake pedals simultaneously for around half a minute.
