There are three methods for accessing the trunk on a Kia Sportage. Firstly, the traditional way involves using the keys to unlock the back of the trunk. Alternatively, you can press the button inside the car with a trunk symbol to open it. If this fails, it may be due to a faulty fuse that needs replacement. Lastly, you can utilize the button on the key fob to remotely open the trunk, which should work even from a distance like inside a house. Additionally, in the event of being locked inside the trunk, an emergency release lever can be found near the front left of the trunk behind the carpet, offering a fourth option for escape.
Absolutely incorrect. It is impossible to unlock the back hatch of a 2009 Kia Sportage. There is no control to the left of the steering wheel, no mechanism within the trunk, and no emergency release available.
To access the trunk of the Kia Sportage, look for a release switch under the trunk, a button on the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel, and an interior latch for emergency access from within the trunk space.
The lever located at the bottom left is for the hood, not the trunk. I haven't found any way yet, whether it's on the key fob or inside the car, to open the rear hatch on my 2023 Sportage.
On my 2013 Kia Sportage, I can't find a keyhole on the rear hatch. Unfortunately, the mechanism seems to have failed, possibly due to a faulty motorized lock actuator. I'm wondering how I can open the hatch without the actuator functioning properly.
