If you drive a Ford Taurus, you may find yourself needing to use a slim jim to access your car in a situation where you've locked your keys inside and don't have a remote to unlock it. To do this, insert the slim jim with the notched end downward and wiggle it back and forth until you locate the locking rod on the door panel. Once you find it, pull up to unlock the door.
