Checking the transmission fluid in your 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid is a quick and simple task that should only take about 6 to 9 minutes of your time. Start by going to the front of your vehicle and securely opening the hood using the prop arm. Then, locate the transmission on the left or passenger side of the engine bay, next to the engine block. You will find a small dipstick in a reservoir on top of the transmission. Pull out the dipstick, wipe off the fluid, re-insert it, and then pull it out again to see how high the fluid reaches on the stick. If it is too low, you can add more fluid by opening the cap on the reservoir.
The inquiry is specifically about a hybrid engine, not a traditional one. Please note that the 2008 hybrid model does not have a dipstick.
As an American, if you want to check the transmission fluid levels in your 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid, you need to find the fluid reservoir inside the transmission under the hood. Then, use the dipstick that comes with it to gauge if the transmission fluid is low.
