To reset the oil light on a 2018 Kia Optima, you have a couple of options. The first method involves using a scan tool with oil light reset capability, which is the simplest way if you have the right equipment. Just connect the scan tool and follow the on-screen instructions to find the oil light section and confirm the reset. If you don't have a scan tool, you can do it manually by turning the key to the "on" position and using the arrows on the steering wheel to access the "Service Interval" on the information screen. Hold down "OK" until the oil light resets itself. Good luck with whichever method you choose to use!
To begin, turn the vehicle to the on position without starting the engine. Then, use the arrows located on the right side of the steering wheel to scroll through the menu until you locate the service interval option on the information screen. Once you see it on the screen, press and hold the ok button until the light resets.
First, start up the car. Next, use the right-hand arrows on the steering wheel to locate the service interval display on the dashboard screen. Finally, press and hold the okay button to reset the oil change indicator. That's the process for resetting the change oil light.
