The Hyundai Elantra GT is designed to run on regular unleaded gasoline with 87 octanes and a 14.0-gallon fuel capacity. Although you have the option to use premium gas with 91 octanes, it's not necessary and will only incur additional costs without any benefits. It's crucial to never use diesel in this car; if you accidentally fill the tank with diesel, do not start the engine and have the car towed to a mechanic immediately to prevent costly damage. Even letting the diesel sit in the tank for just a few hours can harm the tank and fuel line. To open the gas tank, you can use the button inside the car, the key fob, or manually pull it open with your hand.
To unlock the gas tank on a Hyundai Elantra GT, ensure the doors are not locked and then simply press on the fuel door until it opens.
