The Nissan Versa has a lever located below and to the left of the steering wheel, next to the hood release lever, with a fuel pump icon. By pulling this lever, you can unlock the fuel tank door from the outside of the vehicle. Although it may seem inconvenient at first, you will quickly become accustomed to it. This additional safety feature is designed to discourage gasoline theft by making it harder for potential thieves to siphon fuel from the Versa's tank.
