If your Honda Civic hasn't been in any accidents and you notice the SRS light on, you can reset it using a screwdriver, paper clip, and needle-nose pliers. Firstly, access the fuse box panel beneath the dashboard. Look for the yellow Memory Erase Signal connector and short the wires by inserting a paperclip into the two holes. Put your key in the ignition, turn it to the ON position, and the SRS indicator will turn off. Swiftly remove one side of the paperclip, causing the SRS light to come on again. Reinsert the paperclip within four seconds. The light will go out, blink twice, indicating the memory has been reset. Turn off the ignition, wait at least 10 seconds, and then start the car.
Turn the ignition key to the 'on' position (without starting the engine) to reset the airbag light sensor on a 2012 Honda Civic by making this connection. The SRS light will illuminate briefly for two seconds and then go off. Once the light goes off, remove the shorting wire to open the circuit. The SRS light will come on once more. Keep in mind that resetting the airbag sensor is not recommended and could potentially cause harm.
Could someone please share a photo of the Memory Erase Signal connector?
