Occasionally, you might have to refresh the security system on your 2003 Honda Accord. Fortunately, Honda offers two distinct methods to do this, both of which are relatively simple. First, make sure that the security system isn't acting up due to a faulty or damaged key fob. While this may seem unlikely, some drivers encounter issues because their fobs are not functioning properly. Though getting a replacement will come at a price, it will save you the hassle of having to reset frequently. The initial method involves disconnecting the battery for about 30 to 60 minutes. If this does not work, you will have to use your car's ignition key in the driver-side door lock. Insert the key and turn it to the unlock position, then lock, and back to the unlock position. This sequence should reset the system.

I may not be a professional mechanic, but I need to find a way to permanently turn off and disable the car alarm.

Place the key into the driver's side door lock of the 2003 Honda Accord to deactivate the alarm. Turn the key to the unlock position and then back to the lock position before returning it to the unlock position. This should disable the alarm. Next, start the engine and let the vehicle run for a minimum of 10 minutes.
