While this may seem obvious and you may have already tried it, it's worth attempting. Another suggestion is to disconnect the negative terminal from the battery for 15 minutes while also discharging your head unit by holding the "POWER" button for 15-20 seconds. If these methods don't work for you, you can try navigating to the "MUTE" feature in the Audio menu and changing it there.
