How do you open the hood of a Nissan Frontier?

To open the hood of your Nissan Frontier, first, park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake. Then, pull the hood release lever located under the left side of the dashboard. The hood will pop open slightly. Next, push the latch lever located under the front edge of the hood towards the center and lift it up. Once the hood is raised a bit, you can release the lever. Take out the support rod from the clamp using the handle and attach it to the hood. When you're done, remove the support rod, place it back in the clamp, and gently lower the hood. Lower it until it's about 12 inches (30 cm) from closing, then let go and allow the hood to shut on its own.
