To open the back window of the 2017 Ford Expedition, press the release button located above the license plate and just to the right of the rear-view camera. Once the latch is released, simply lift the window up. Sometimes, the lock actuator may fail, preventing the window from closing properly. Replacing it is a straightforward process - you'll need a Phillips and flat screwdriver, along with a T-27 torxBit and driver. Start by removing the two plastic pins on each side of the lock mechanism. Then, lift and pull back the plastic trim to expose the two T-27 torx head bolts; remove these bolts and disconnect the electrical connector. The actuator can then be easily slid out.
