To access the engine bay of your Lincoln MKZ, grab the black lever located on the left side of the bottom of the dashboard and pull it towards you until you hear the hood unlatch. Look in front of the car through the grille, also check underneath and behind the bumper to locate another handle that will allow you to fully open the hood. If you encounter difficulty opening the hood, possible issues could be a broken latch or cable, a latch that wasn't fully closed previously, or a missing release handle. Ensure that you haven't left any items in the engine area before shutting the hood securely. Always double-check that the hood is properly closed before driving.
