Opening the hood of a Porsche Macan is a relatively simple task, though the hood is larger than most others on the market, making it a bit challenging to open. To start, locate the hood release handle in the driver's footwell, marked with an illustration of a vehicle with the hood raised. Pull this handle to release the first latch of the hood. Next, move to the front of the car and slip your hand under the hood to locate the central second latch. Once you find it, shift it to the left, allowing you to raise the hood. The hood will lift up around the headlight housings, a unique feature of the Macan.
