The trunk release button for the Hyundai Tucson can be found on the left side of the driver's dashboard, positioned behind the steering wheel. It is part of a row of 5 buttons, with the trunk release button located at the right end. To open the trunk, you must press and hold the button for a few seconds until it pops open. This feature is designed for safety, preventing accidents by disabling its use when the vehicle is in motion. Certain models may also include a trunk release button on the key fob.
The 2022 Tucson model does not have any buttons on either the key fob or inside the vehicle. As a result, you need to physically get out and open it yourself.
I own a 2022 Tucson, and I can unlock it using the interior button or by pressing the release located on the back of the vehicle.

To access the trunk of the Hyundai Tucson, simply long-press the unlock trunk feature on the key remote.
There are no controls located to the left of the steering wheel.
