The 2005 Ford F-250 might come with a limited slip rear differential or a standard one, and you'll need 7.0 pints of 75W-140 oil for either. If you have a limited slip differential, it's a good idea to also add LSD additive to optimize its performance. The front differential takes 6.3 pints of 80W-90 oil, but can also use 75W-90 or 75W-110. Make sure to use different gear oils for the front and rear differentials, as their specifications vary greatly. Stick to the recommended fluids for each to ensure proper function.
The amount of oil that the 2005 Ford F250 rear differential can hold is 2.0 quarts.
The Ford F-250/350 trucks come with Sterling 10.5 differentials that have a fluid capacity of 3.45 quarts.
