The 2009 Subaru Forester offers a trunk and cargo space ranging from 33.5 to 68.3 cubic feet. The larger measurement refers to the space when the seats are folded down, while the smaller measurement is with the seats up. There is a small opening in the vehicle's floor where you can lift up a panel. Beneath this panel is a compartment where you can fold the seats down. To accomplish this, simply grab the lever on the side of the seats and pull it. This will allow you to lower the seats into the compartment and lock them into place with a clicking sound. Reversing this action to raise the seats back up should only take a minute or two.
In 2009, the Subaru Forester offered a spacious 68.3 cubic feet of cargo room with its seats folded down, while keeping the seats upright provided 33.5 cubic feet of storage space behind them.
