It seems like you're interested in changing the 12-volt power outlet in the cigarette lighter of your Ford Focus. Before jumping into this task, make sure to first check if a blown fuse is causing it to not work properly. To replace the outlet, start by removing the radio bezel, ashtray, and radio. Disconnect the cables from the cigarette lighter and light bulbs. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to press the small green plastic tab inside the lighter and push it out towards you. Once removed, you can insert the new socket into the casing and follow the reverse steps to put everything back together. Alternatively, if you'd rather not deal with it yourself, you can have a mechanic do it for around $50 to $100.
