Replacing the center support bearing on a 2010 Ford F-150 is quite complex and will involve taking out the entire driveshaft by pressing it out. You'll require a variety of hand tools like sockets, wrenches, pliers, and maybe even an impact driver to accomplish this task. The initial step is to loosen the universal joints at both the transmission and rear differential from the driveshaft. Then, you can lower and extract it from the vehicle. Following that, a press will be needed to eliminate the old bearing and install the new one. If you don't have a press, a nearby machine shop can likely assist you with this process.
I own a 2010 F150 XLT SuperCrew with 4-wheel drive and a long bed. The center support bearing is broken. Do I need to purchase a complete driveshaft to fix it and be able to drive the truck?
