To access the fuel tank on your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, find the fuel door release button on the driver's side and press it. Twist off the gas cap counterclockwise. Once the cap is off, choose the type of gas at the pump, such as regular 87 octane or higher. Using a higher octane than recommended in the owner's manual typically doesn't offer any advantages in performance, speed, mileage, or cleanliness. Remember that your driving habits can have a significant impact on fuel efficiency - excessive acceleration and unnecessary braking can waste fuel.
With the exception of what was mentioned in answer #1, there is no need to unscrew a gas cap. Instead, you can just insert the gas nozzle past the flap under the entry hatch and fill up the tank. The flap is designed in a way that eliminates the need for a gas cap.
