For the 2017 Toyota Camry, it is recommended to change the oil filter every 7,500 miles with full synthetic oil, or every 5,000 miles or 6 months with conventional oil. To do this, you'll need to raise the car using ramps or jack stands. The oil drain plug can be found at the bottom towards the rear center of the vehicle. Use a 14mm wrench to loosen the plug and let the old oil drain into a pan positioned beneath. The filter, located on the driver's side of the vehicle, is attached to an assembly. Use an extension bar and wrench to loosen its housing, allowing some oil to drain out. Replace the o-ring on the new filter and securely screw it in place.
To replace the oil filter on a Camry, begin by positioning the oil collection tray underneath the car, then remove the plug to drain the oil. Use an oil filter wrench to take out the old filter, or use a cloth to twist it clockwise for removal, before replacing it with a new filter.
