However, the more probable reason is a faulty fuse. It is recommended to check the fuse box first, located to the left of the steering wheel. Look for a small seam or crack along the dashboard and use a screwdriver or prybar to open it. Inside, you will find a set of fuses. Consult the diagram on the back of the panel you opened or refer to the owner's manual to identify the fuse related to the touchscreen. Replace the fuse if the thin strip of metal connecting the two ends is broken. A new fuse is inexpensive, typically costing around 10 dollars.
