The recommended oil type and capacity for the 2007 Lexus RX is 6.4 quarts of 5w30 oil. Before starting an oil change on the vehicle, ensure that it has been parked and turned off for a few hours to allow the engine to cool down. This prevents the oil from being too hot, reducing the risk of burns. Locate the oil pan in the engine compartment and find the drain plug underneath. Place a bucket beneath the plug and remove it to let the oil drain into the pan. Wait until it stops dripping, which might take about an hour. Once it's done, replace the drain plug, then locate the intake port on top of the oil pan. Fill the oil pan using a funnel until it's full, being careful not to overfill. It's okay to be a little below full, but adding too much can cause leaks and oil burn off. After filling it up, close the port, clean up any spilled oil, and you're all set.

In 2007, the Lexus RX350 is equipped solely with a 3.5L V6 engine that needs 6.4 quarts of 5W30 oil. On the other hand, the 2007 Lexus RX400H features a 3.3L V6 Hybrid engine that requires 5 quarts of 5W30 synthetic oil.

John A is definitely an amateur, as seen by his need to change the oil filter while doing an oil change. Only a fool would not understand this simple concept.
