The 2017 Chevy Equinox does not include Apple CarPlay, which enables users to access phone apps on their touchscreen. Apple CarPlay is a recent addition that caught many car manufacturers off guard, as developing and implementing vehicles' infotainment systems takes time and modifications post-production are challenging. I anticipate that CarPlay will become increasingly common in the future as carmakers become better equipped to integrate it. As technology progresses, more brands have shifted towards enabling wireless CarPlay via Bluetooth.
