The 2016 Toyota RAV4 comes equipped with a homelink garage door opener integrated into the rear view mirror. This system enables you to customize your SUV to operate garage doors, automatic gates, and even lights through an adapter. Setting up the homelink system is a relatively simple process. To begin, make sure you have your original garage remote on hand. Start by turning on the car, then press and hold the desired button on the mirror that you want to program. While holding this button, simultaneously press and hold the button on the remote, keeping it about one to three inches away from the mirror. Once the homelink indicator light flashes slowly, the button has been successfully programmed.
I don't have any buttons on my rearview mirror in my 2016 Toyota Rav4 XLE AWD. There are also no buttons where my dome lights are located.
The 2016 Toyota Rav4 features a HomeLink transmitter that is built into the rearview mirror. This special mirror can store settings for up to three different garage door openers, making it convenient for the driver to access multiple garages.
