In 2017, there was a recall after a class action lawsuit that involved faulty water pumps in certain Ford Edge models from 2007. If you own one of these vehicles, you can take it to a dealership for a free replacement of the defective water pump as part of the settlement.

Has any American received a complimentary water pump replacement in the US? The water pump in my daughter's 2007 Ford Edge has been leaking coolant for several months now. I've been given a quote of over $2000 to have it fixed. If you managed to have it replaced at no cost, did you contact a Ford dealership? I'm struggling to find any official recall information.

In 2017, Ford faced a class action lawsuit alleging that numerous 2007 Ford Edge vehicles were susceptible to engine malfunctions due to water pump problems.

I'm also curious if anyone has received a complimentary replacement for their water pump. Mine recently failed, and we were quoted $2,800 at a Ford dealership in Michigan. If you've had your water pump replaced at no cost, please share the steps you took. I drive a 2010 Ford Edge.

I haven't noticed any recalls on it. The same issue happened to my Edge previously, and now there is water in my engine oil.

My car from 2011 suddenly overheated without any prior warning. Now, there is coolant mixed in with the oil. Geez.

How can I contact Ford to address the water pump issue in my 2007 Ford Edge and inquire about any recalls related to this problem? What is the recall hotline number for Ford?

Why do you keep going to the dealership for repairs? There are many independent shops that can handle the job. In Mississippi, the cost ranges from $1200 to $1600, which may seem high due to poor design, but dealers will overcharge you. The repair should take about 11 hours. Also, never start an engine with water in the oil as it can damage your engine. Take care, Boofer.

I have a 2013 Ford Edge with 130,000 miles that needs a new water pump, which will cost $3800. I am on social security, so it's challenging for me to afford this repair. I'm wondering how Ford expects individuals in my situation to cover such high costs. Is there a way to get assistance through a recall or financial support? I may need to borrow money from friends or family to address this urgent issue. Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated.

Has there been a recall for a water pump issue on the 2011 Ford Edge?

I own a 2007 Ford Edge, and when I asked the Ford dealer about a possible recall, they insisted there wasn't one. Even after showing them a screenshot of a 2017 lawsuit indicating that my vehicle should be included, they still said no. I escalated the issue to the corporate office, but they also rejected my request for coverage and told me I would have to pay for any repairs out of my own pocket.

Unfortunately, I was unable to have my water pump replaced because they informed me that there were no more recalls for it. They insisted that I would need to shell out $10,000 to replace any engine, even though all I needed was a new water pump.

In 2009, the water pump on my Edge failed before reaching 124,000 miles. Despite not showing any signs of overheating or issues, the engine was destroyed by the time we discovered the problem. Interestingly, the dealer had recently serviced the vehicle.

In 2009, my Edge experienced a water pump failure. There were no warning signs such as overheating until we noticed water in the oil, which unfortunately resulted in irreparable damage to the engine.

I own a 2007 Ford Edge with issues such as overheating and a faulty water pump that needs replacement. Randolph Ford quoted me $3,600 for the water pump and $2,000 for the stuck roof repairs. Additionally, I recently spent $2,300 to fix the steering wheel. It seems like many parts of this car are failing, and I'm considering taking legal action against Ford at this point.
