There has not been a formal recall for the paint problem on the 2016 Ford Explorer. The bubbling paint issue is widely recognized and has been a source of frustration for numerous vehicle owners. Although a lawsuit was filed related to this problem, it did not include the 2016 models, and the case has yet to be heard in court after several years. The root cause of the problem lies in aluminum panel corrosion, which is resulting in accelerated rusting and damage to certain parts of the vehicle.
The 2016 Explorer needs to be included.
The front of the hood is well-known for peeling paint with no replacement offered, a $40,000 vehicle with subpar paint...I've had it with awful Ford cars!
A legal case has been filed against Ford regarding certain Ford Explorer models made between 2000 and 2005. The lawsuit claims that Ford should recall these vehicles to address issues such as paint bubbling, rust, and corrosion on the hood caused by the use of aluminum panels instead of steel. As of now, there has been no official recall announced, and this issue does not affect the 2016 Ford Explorer model.
