This feature can be especially useful in cold climates where you may want your car to warm up before heading out, or if the car has been sitting in the sun all day and you want to cool it down with the air conditioning. To activate the remote start, ensure that all doors are closed and locked and that the check engine light is not illuminated. Press the lock button on your key fob twice to make sure all doors are locked, then hold down the remote start button on your key fob, which is identified by a circle with an arrow, within five seconds. Your car will be warm and ready by the time you approach it!
