While driving from St. Louis, MO to Port Orange, FL to visit my daughter and her fiancé for Christmas in 2020, I traveled 1015 miles each way without a spare tire, relying only on a tire sealing kit that cautioned not to exceed 50mph or drive more than 120 miles after use. Ford's decision not to include a spare tire raises concerns about liability if the repair kit fails and there are no open repair shops within 120 miles. Being stranded in the middle of nowhere is a safety risk that should have been considered during the vehicle's design. As my lease is up in February 2022, I will not lease another car like this one. It's unbelievable that a spare tire is not included, and I hope customers are not forced to purchase one, especially on a leased vehicle. It's simply nonsensical and disappointing.
