Unfortunately, Jeep no longer includes a spare tire as standard on the 2017 Jeep Cherokee. But why would you need a spare tire? The roads are filled with sharp debris like nails, metal scraps, and glass that could quickly ruin your day. While tires are sturdy and can resist smaller punctures, they are not immune to going flat. Imagine being stranded far from a cell phone signal with a flat tire and no spare. Keeping a spare tire, properly inflated and in good condition, can be a lifesaver, getting you to a repair shop or safely home in most scenarios.

That's really awful - my wife had a flat tire on the highway and when the guy came out to fix it, there was no spare tire. I will never purchase a Jeep again, and we currently own three of them. It's so frustrating, you can imagine how difficult it is to find a new rim and tire at 9:00 pm.

I can't believe they don't include a spare tire with the Jeep Cherokee despite charging us a lot of money for it. It's ridiculous that they don't provide spares. For anyone claiming they have a spare, they just got lucky - or rather, they were blessed. The fact is, Jeep didn't include the spare; it was the previous owner or driver who did. So, if you're wondering why everyone is complaining about not having a spare, it's because they genuinely don't have one.

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying they don't have a spare tire. My 2017 Jeep Cherokee Latitude has a spare tire positioned beneath the storage tray in the back hatch.

Jeep has unfortunately removed the spare tire as a standard feature.
