The 2018 Volvo XC60 follows the trend of increasing storage space and improving fuel efficiency by introducing a temporary spare tire located at the rear of the car. To access it, simply lift up the floor of the cargo area starting from the back and moving forward. The spare tire is secured in a recessed compartment cushioned by foam. Tools such as tire irons, a jack, and other necessary items are stored in a small bag at the center of the spare tire. Once the flat tire is replaced, it can be stored in the wheel bag provided in the spare tire kit. Keep in mind that the temporary spare tire is smaller than a regular tire and should only be used to drive to a repair shop. It impacts the vehicle's ground clearance and is not meant for long-term usage.
