During some years, the Nissan Xterra offered an optional sunroof package, but it was not very common overall. If you're considering a used Xterra, there's a good chance it won't have this feature. Personally, I find it a bit detracting on the vehicle and it may not work well with the roof rack. However, if your Xterra doesn't have it but you still want a sunroof, there are various aftermarket options available. I wouldn't recommend trying to install one yourself (cutting into a roof can be risky), but professional shops can typically add one for you at a cost ranging from $500 to $1000.
My 2002 supercharged vehicle comes with a sunroof that functions well despite having a roof rack installed. However, it only opens partially instead of fully, which I found interesting. Surprisingly, there are no issues or leaks associated with it. It's a neat discovery to learn that this feature, along with the supercharged model itself, is somewhat uncommon.
There's no chance it would interfere with the equipment locker.
My 2007 model is not functioning properly.
In 2015, customers had the option to include a sunroof in their Nissan Xterra if they wanted one.
