In the 2008 Toyota Sienna, the timing chain is present. When it comes to spark plugs, regular ones should be changed at every 100,000 miles while copper spark plugs will need replacement every 30,000 miles. Make sure to replace the air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, and the coolant should be renewed every 60,000 miles. Various engine issues may arise such as loose gaskets needing tightening, spark plug popping off resulting in engine trouble, and the critical problem of engine overheating which can lead to fire and vehicle explosion. Excessive oil consumption may necessitate earlier oil changes, and any oil leaks should be promptly addressed.

For the Sienna model years 1998-2006, the V6 engine uses a belt; for the years 2007-2020, the V6 engine uses a chain; and for the years 2011-2012, the 4-cylinder engine uses a chain.
So, what's the deal... belt or chain? It seems like there's a split decision with half of the people favoring belt and the other half opting for chain. Does anyone have a source to settle this debate?
