I don't have an answer, but my 2013 Ford Explorer has needed three catalytic converters replaced in less than a year! The one that Ford replaced in April 2023 just failed, and they are currently replacing it at no cost. I'm concerned that the one I replaced three months ago will also fail. I regularly bring my Explorer in for maintenance, so that's not the issue. I'm curious about what they do with the old converter - do they sell it for the materials inside?

There needs to be some kind of recall for the catalytic converter in the 2013 Ford Explorer. Maybe mine is just a lemon. I've had it checked and replaced multiple times - gaskets, various components, you name it. Yet the check engine light keeps coming on, pointing to issues with the catalytic converter.
