The power seats in the Chevy Equinox may not function properly because of a blown fuse or faulty circuit breakers. If both seats are not working, a malfunctioning relay or fuse is often the culprit. To find the electrical switch, check on the driver's door handle or the side of the seat. There could be issues with the connection and voltage levels between the fuse panel and the switch in your vehicle. You can test the mechanism by unplugging it while the car is turned to the "on" position without starting the engine. In some cases, the seat's motor might need to be replaced or there could be a faulty connection with the switch. Broken wiring harnesses can also cause problems with the power seating. It's possible that the gears and tracks responsible for moving the Equinox's seats may need to be repaired as well.

The wires under the driver's seat got worn out and exposed, leading to a short circuit that blew the 30 amp fuse. I did a quick fix and secured the wires to prevent them from rubbing against the metal seat frame. I'm reaching out to my Dealer to discuss possible solutions.
