The 2018 Mazda6 requires 4.8 quarts of SAE 0W-20 viscosity oil for an oil change. To begin changing the oil in the car, make sure it has been turned off and parked for a couple of hours to allow the engine to cool down. Locate the oil pan and drain plug in the engine compartment underneath the car. Place a bucket beneath the plug and remove it to let the oil drain into the pan. Wait until the oil has stopped dripping, which could take about an hour. Once it has finished draining, replace the drain plug and find the intake port on the top of the oil pan. Use a funnel to fill the oil pan to full, ensuring not to overfill. It's okay to be slightly under the full mark, but overfilling can result in leaks and oil burn-off. Once the oil pan is filled, close the port, clean up any spilled oil, and your oil change is complete.
4.8 quarts of oil is incorrect. The correct amount should be 5.8 quarts.
