In the 2014 Honda Civic with a 1.8-liter engine, you will need 3.9 US quarts of oil for an oil change. To start the oil change, ensure that the car has been parked and turned off for a couple of hours to avoid burning yourself on hot oil. Locate the oil pan in the engine compartment and find the drain plug underneath. Place a bucket underneath the plug, remove it, and allow the oil to drain into the pan. Let the oil drain completely, which may take about an hour. Once it's done dripping, replace the drain plug, then find the intake port on top of the oil pan. Fill the oil pan using a funnel until it's full, ensuring not to overfill. It's okay to be slightly under the full level, but overfilling can cause leaks and oil burn off. After filling the oil pan, close the port, clean up any spilled oil, and you're done with the oil change.
In 2014, the Honda Accord can hold 3.9 quarts (3.7 liters) of engine oil for its 1.8-liter engines, while the 2.4-liter engine models require 4.4 quarts (4.2 liters) of oil.
