In case the power steering of the 2016 Chevy Impala becomes stiff and difficult to turn, it may be due to either a leak in the power steering line or insufficient fluid. The less likely cause is a leak, which should still be inspected. The more common issue is low fluid levels, which can be remedied by adding more fluid. To change the power steering fluid, start by locating the transparent plastic container under the hood near the window. Use a pump to remove all the fluid from the container. As the fluid level decreases, turn the steering wheel from one side to the other to drain the fluid into the container. Once the container is empty, refill it up to the indicated full line, without overfilling. It may take some time for the steering wheel to loosen up, so test it by driving for about 20 minutes to ensure the adjustment was successful.

The steering wheel locks up while driving, but the strange thing is that it only happens when I start the car using the push start button. If I use the remote start, everything works correctly.
One issue that frequently occurs with the power steering in the 2016 Chevy Impala is leaks caused by the system's high pressure, especially when the soft hoses carrying the fluid are involved.
