If you encounter any issues with your Toyota Camry's alarm system, such as it going off at the wrong times or not disarming properly, there is a frustrating problem that can occur when attempting to use the remote and the system doesn't respond. Additionally, the alarm system might impact the radio's function if it has been disconnected from the battery. To resolve this, follow these steps: Insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position without starting the engine. Power up your stereo by pressing the power button. Then, simultaneously press and hold the UP radio station tune button and the 1 radio station preset button. Release both buttons when "---" appears on the stereo display. Enter the unlock code provided when you bought your Camry using the numbered station preset buttons. This should fix the stereo until the next time the anti-theft system interferes with it.
To change the alarm settings of the Toyota Camry, start by making sure all doors are locked. Next, unlock the driver's side door and insert the key into the on position. Toggle the key off and then on twice to reset the alarm. If the immobilizer is malfunctioning, the alarm won't function correctly.
