There are no particular issues with the DVD player in the Cadillac Escalade, but there are some important points to keep in mind. For instance, you cannot watch a DVD on the front display while driving for safety reasons. However, this restriction does not apply to the rear-seat screens. Another concern is that certain DVDs may not play due to region codes. It's surprising that this is still an issue, but it is. The copy protection is somewhat limiting as it only supports Region 1 discs in the United States. If your DVD player is too hot to function properly, allowing it to cool down can resolve the problem. An indication of this issue might be a Disk Read Error message on the screen. If your infotainment system fails to power on, it may be due to a faulty relay, which can be checked in the interior fuse box.
