If the blind spot monitoring system in the 2018 Honda CR-V isn't working, there could be a few possible issues. It might be due to the tiny cameras that monitor the system being dirty or obstructed, so try cleaning them. If that's not the problem, it's possible that the cameras are damaged and need replacement, but it's more likely that the issue lies with a faulty fuse. To access the fuse box, look to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or pry bar to open it up. Inside, you'll find a number of fuses. Check the diagram on the back of the panel you opened or refer to the owner's manual to identify the correct fuse. Once you locate the fuse, remove it. If the thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, costing around $10.
The sensor in the car might be damaged, which could prevent it from detecting nearby objects. Alternatively, it could simply be dirty and in need of cleaning.
