If there are any issues with the climate control system of a 2015 Chevy Equinox, there are a few potential culprits. A faulty blend actuator motor will prevent you from controlling the airflow temperature and intensity within the car. A malfunctioning fan motor will hinder air circulation, although you may still hear noise when it is turned on. Alternatively, if nothing seems to be working, it is possible that the fuse has blown. In such a case, locating the fuse box, typically situated either under the hood or to the left of the steering wheel, and replacing the fuse should be the initial step. Additionally, a malfunctioning temperature sensor near the fan motor could lead to erratic behavior from the actuator and erratic temperature readings.
The main reasons the defroster stops working often come down to a defective mode door or blend door actuator.
