If your 2005 Chevy Equinox is experiencing climate control system issues, there could be a few underlying causes. If the blend actuator motor is faulty, you won't be able to adjust the air temperature or airflow intensity in the car. A malfunctioning fan motor may cause poor air circulation, although you may still hear noise when turned on. If none of the controls are working, it's possible that the fuse has blown. In that case, locate the fuse box either under the hood or to the left of the steering wheel and replace the fuse. Additionally, a malfunctioning temperature sensor near the fan motor can cause erratic behavior in the actuator, resulting in inconsistent temperature readings.
