If your FIAT Grande Punto's heater is not working, there are common reasons to consider. Check if there is any airflow first - if there is, your blower motor is likely okay, so focus on the heater coil or its thermostat as the probable causes. If there is no airflow, you should think about whether the blower motor or one of its components has failed. Before purchasing a replacement, inspect the fuses for the HVAC system as they can fail. Also, check the wiring to the blower and consider the indoor switches as a potential source of the issue. Additionally, the heater blower motor fan resistor and wiring loom could be problematic, though testing may require specialized skills. If needed, taking your vehicle to a shop for assistance may be a good idea.
There are a few reasons why your FIAT Grande Punto heater might not be working, with the top three being a busted heater blower motor, issues with the thermostat, or a faulty heater blower engine resistor.
I just repaired mine by connecting it to the resistor. It was an easy fix - simply pull it off (located where the passenger's right toes would be), clean it, and tightly crimp them back together using a small screwdriver down the side of the two main power cables. This will close up the crimp when pressed together, then push it back on. Job completed successfully! 😊👍
Hey, my heater keeps turning off and on sporadically before shutting off completely.
