If your seat heater in the 2016 Ford Explorer has stopped working, the issue might be with the fuse panel. It could be a blown fuse or a burned pin in the junction box. Another possibility is a faulty seat filter that may need replacement. Climate-controlled seats are increasingly common in cars, providing heating or cooling to help drivers stay comfortable while driving. These seats release warm or cold air from beneath them. If your vehicle doesn't have climate-controlled seats, you can have them installed at a dealership after buying the vehicle, with the cost ranging from $400 to $650 for this upgrade.

In general, the heating components in the seat back and seat bottom tend to fail separately, and it is not caused by a blown fuse. For Explorer models from 2013 onwards, fuse 72 controls the heating and cooling duties for the seat climate module. By using an infrared scanner, you can easily determine which components are functioning properly and which are faulty. Checking the voltage at the seat element connector will indicate whether the element is defective, with COER or COEO, when the switch is in heat mode. I hope this information proves helpful to someone in need.

If the heated seats in your 2016 Ford Explorer are not functioning, it is typically due to a faulty fuse connected to the seats.

Most likely, there is a damaged electrical pin in the junction box located under the fuse panel. We have taken ours in for repairs, which will cost around $650.
