In a 2018 Ford Fusion, there are several reasons why the touchscreen might stop working. The most typical cause is that the system requires a reboot. To do this, simply press and hold the right arrow and power buttons simultaneously for about 15 seconds. Another common issue could be a blown fuse. You can locate the fuse box in both the engine compartment and the passenger compartment. The passenger compartment fuse box is likely to contain the touchscreen fuse, but you can confirm this by checking the diagrams inside the fuse panel covers or in the owner's manual. If you're experiencing problems with touchscreen responsiveness, you may need to perform a system restore to return to factory settings. Navigate to Settings, then System, and on the second page of the menu, select Master Reset. When prompted by SYNC, choose Yes. A message will indicate that scheduled maintenance is in progress for a few minutes. Once the home screen reappears, the system has been successfully restored to its original settings.

Is there a manual way to lock the touch screen on Sync 2? My child accidentally pressed some buttons, and now the touch screen is unresponsive. Can you suggest a solution? Any help would be appreciated.

Have you attempted removing the negative terminal from the battery for about 30 to 50 seconds? This will allow the car's computer to reset.
