The Nissan Rogue may experience occasional issues with its volume control, often due to a mechanical problem within the volume knob itself that can cause it to be sticky, damaged, or completely unresponsive. To troubleshoot this, you can try cleaning the hardware that the volume knob sits on with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab. If the problem persists, you might need to replace the hardware. Sometimes, the volume control may act up in cold weather but start working again as the vehicle warms up. While there is no guaranteed solution other than replacing the hardware, the problem typically comes and goes and may resolve on its own.
Press and hold the power button for a duration of ten seconds to restart the radio.
In 2021, the sound system in our Rogue SV stopped working, and the control buttons below the screen were unresponsive as well. After holding down the power button for 10 seconds, the Nissan logo appeared, and the buttons started working again with the sound returning to normal. We have an appointment scheduled for Wednesday, but if everything continues working fine until Tuesday, I will go ahead and cancel the appointment.
If the sound isn't coming out of your Nissan Rogue, try checking the fuses in the audio system and take a look at the wiring connections in the radio and dashboard of your car.
I noticed the volume indicator was adjusting, but there was no sound coming out. After resetting it, everything was fixed. Thank you!
Simply adjust the sound level using the volume buttons on the steering wheel.
